When I was young my family would travel to Sydney quite often to see my Great Grandmother. I loved the trips, I've always loved Sydney and I loved catching up with her.
On the Easter holidays I headed to Sydney for a few days. I must've walked around 24kms in 2 days.
The first day it rained really heavy so taking photos was a little difficult. My first day I walked along George Street, stopping into my favourite building in all of Sydney. The Queen Victoria Building.
I love every part of this building, it has an amazing clock that goes off every hour and tells part British History through various Monarchies. Its great, people take their kids and it gets really crowed with tourists. You can see below a picture of the whole clock then the image of King Henry VIII, there are about 5 other Monarchs including Queen Elizabeth I and Charles II.
I love the tiles and the other elements of this building typical late Victorian architecture and it's brilliant.
So many fantastic things to photograph, I went a little crazy.
These people were getting wedding photos done here. I thought it was a fantastic idea.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this idea.
After I saw the clock chime, I headed further along George Street and landed at Darling Harbour where the Chinese Friendship Gardens are. This is another one of my favourite places in Sydney. It lies next to a very busy road in a busy part of the city, yet you walk in and there is peace. It's so calming. After fresh heavy rain it was even more lovely.
The are a number of waterfalls, the largest Carp I've ever seen and lots of different regions representing different areas of China. Different bridges take you from area to area across the large pond areas.
Don't you think these gorgeous little men that were placed in the garden of a group of Bonsai trees. Tiny trees with tiny figurines. The effort gone into these must've been amazing.
