Wow what a busy weekend.
On Saturday I spent the day at a Photography course, learning to use my digital SLR camera.
I went into the course, knowing that I can take good photos but I just couldn't get the hang of my new camera. When we got into the course and the instructor looked at our settings, it turns out that many things on my camera had been set up incorrectly. I discovered many things were slightly off, within the first 30 minutes of the course, I had completely fixed my camera and was looking forward to the day of taking photos.
Below are a selection of the photos I took looking at different techniques:
The following was in the practice section, I was looking for good exposure and also depth of field. I was happy that this was the only water dragon that didn't freak out when I got close.

Another shot looking at depth of field, keeping one section in focus while blurring the background, this was difficult today, as everything I put down to photographer was blown away by the strong wind.

We then moved onto Shutter speed, firstly fast shutter speed. Capturing water out of a bubbler.

Then extremely slow shutter speed, on a waterfall.

Then we moved to night scenes, I've never taken a night scene this good. (Now I'm thinking I need to travel back to some of the cities I've been to, in order to retake the photos I'd ruined).

Then we did some fun fancy night shots, I was very impressed to be able to do shots like this.

The following was just me taking it to the next level. Seeing how far I can push it.
