On Saturday night when I returned from my little day trip. I decided to cook my parents and some family friends dinner. I have been waiting for the temperature drop so I can start making pies. I love making them. Tonights recipe was found here: Chicken, Bacon and Leek Pie
One thing I miss about the UK, is the local Farm shop.
Here finding a decent Butcher is hard work, this is organic meat though and tastes better for it.
When I was younger I didn't get Leeks, now I love them. I need to find more recipes for them (if you have a good recipe please let me know)
Thickening up the sauce. The first time I did this recipe it didn't work, this time I read the instructions, and funny thing it worked. Silly kid
It looked a bit over done, but it tasted fantastic. Definitely a recipe to keep. Come on winter.
I think I might make Saturday Pie's at least once a month.
