A Nice Day Out

On Saturday I decided to catch the train into Brisbane City to do some window shopping.
Well, actually I was looking for a dress to wear to an up coming wedding.  I only found one dress that would suit the occasion and it was 8 times my budget (so I didn't get that one).

I did do a lot of walking on my Saturday...
I spent some time relaxing in ANZAC square, which is a war memorial in Brisbane that has lovely trees and grassed area, it really is a refuge in the city. If I worked near by I'd have my lunch break there everyday.

Blues Skies

A beautiful sunny Autumn day. I was happy the temperature dropped below 30C

1971 Bank Art

This is just part of a much larger piece of wall art.  It was installed in 1971 (can you tell?) it is on the side of a bank building and is a banker and all the industries (out of shot) that the banks help.

Boab Tree Brissie

I love the Boab Tree, they are native to both Australia and Africa, although no one knows how they are on both continents and not on others.  They are very useful in native cultures and I think they are such beautiful trees.

Funny trees

I'm not sure what this tree is but I thought it had been cut so uniquely it was worth taking a photo of.

Greenery

Don't you love old fashioned lamps and bench's in parks?  I do especially in a place like Brisbane where there are a lot of 1950's-70's architecture along with old colonial buildings.

Did you have a lovely weekend? What did you get up to?
