Is it holiday time?

Today marks the half way point of this years ridiculously long first term.  Usually in Australia, the 4 terms are between 9 and 10 weeks long.  The first term changes constantly due to the date of Easter.

This year because Easter is so late in April, the term is an excessively long 12 weeks.  In the other States they get a lovely 2 weeks off for this first break. But is QLD we only get a week, usually it starts of Good Friday, however, this year they didn't want to drag it out another week for the kids, especially those young ones. So this year we have a week before Easter and go back on the Wednesday after Easter for a short  week term WOO HOO.

So to help get me through the next 6 weeks I'm uploading photos from my last real holiday: Thailand.

This beautiful pier is near "James Bond Island" a short boat ride from Phuket.  We also went to this beautiful little Fishing Village, but as it was on stilts getting great photos was a bit hard, without feeling like you might fall in the water.

This lovely little island is near Kao Taoh, it's called the turtle Island (I can't spell the Thai word). But look it looks like a swimming turtle, isn't nature amazing?

This amazing Budda is on Koh Samui,  it is so large and Golden.  I could easily pray here every day of my life.

This musician is part of an orchestra, is in a secret garden on Koh Samuai, We had to go 4 Wheel-Driving to get there and I almost got bounced out of the back of the car and seriously hurt my ribs.  But it was more then worth it, seeing all these statues surrounded by thick bushland.
